Chapter 14
Free & Pro
PushFit Pro is a separate app you buy once, not a subscription and not an unlock inside the free one. Everything you have already done comes with you.
What each one includes
| Feature | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Hands-free counting, all methods | Yes | Yes |
| Sets, rests, sounds, haptics, music | Yes | Yes |
| Goals, streaks and rest days | Yes | Yes |
| Leaderboards and friends | Yes | Yes |
| Apple Watch app and complications | Yes | Yes |
| Widgets, Live Activity, Siri, Spotlight | Yes | Yes |
| Apple Health | Yes | Yes |
| Themes and app icons | Yes | Yes |
| Full calendar and workout detail | Preview | Yes |
| Statistics, charts and records | Preview | Yes |
| The Lockout | Preview | Yes |
| Ads | Yes | None, ever |
Nothing is ever lost while you are on Free. Every workout is recorded in full the whole time, including the per-rep timestamps and depth data behind the charts. Buying Pro does not start your history; it opens the history you already have.
Why it is a separate app
Because it is a one-time purchase. Buy PushFit Pro once and it is yours, on every device on your Apple Account, forever. No subscription, no renewal, no tier that expires while you are not looking.
It also means the paid app is genuinely free of advertising code rather than merely hiding the ads.
Moving across
- Install PushFit Pro from the App Store.
- Open it. Your history, your streak and your theme colour arrive on their own.
- Sign into Game Center if it asks, so your leaderboard position comes with you.
- Delete PushFit Free whenever you like, or keep both. They share the same underlying data.
Pro recognises that you are not a new user and says so instead of teaching you the app again: Welcome back. Your history, your streak and your color came with you.
If anything looks missing, give iCloud a few minutes on Wi-Fi, then see the data chapter.
Trying Pro before buying
The locked screens in the free app carry two buttons. One buys Pro. The other lets you watch an ad to try Pro, which temporarily unlocks the feature you were looking at so you can see whether it is worth it on your own data rather than on a marketing screenshot. While that trial is running, a banner shows how much time is left.
The upgrade screen also shows your real lifetime push-up total, because that number is the honest argument for the charts.
Anything else
This guide covers the whole app. If your question is not answered anywhere in here, that is worth knowing about: email support and the answer gets added.
Start from the beginning
The guide index lists all fifteen chapters, plus the questions support gets asked most.
